Baptism is more than a symbol—it’s a sacred step of obedience to Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches:

“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…”
Acts 2:38

“We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?”
Romans 6:2

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17

Jesus Himself told the woman caught in sin, “Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” (John 8:11 KJV). Baptism represents dying to our old way of life and being raised into the new life of Christ—one marked by surrender, purity, and obedience.

At Lifepointe Church, we believe baptism should follow genuine repentance and a desire to walk in righteousness. As spiritual leaders, we are accountable to God to ensure that baptism aligns with both the Word and the Spirit.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 7:21

Because of our biblical convictions and our religious freedom as a church, we reserve the right to discern, with humility and prayer, who is ready for baptism. We do not take this lightly, nor should you.

If you are currently living in unrepentant sin—we encourage you to seek counsel, pursue holiness, and allow the Holy Spirit to do a transforming work before taking this step.

We walk with you in grace, truth, and love.
